Title: Music Teacher

Providing instruction and a springboard to arts education in a broad-based curriculum that focuses on improving the quality of life through music. Responsibilities include being a master teacher for after-school choir at public schools in the Riverside school district and musicianship appreciation classes, assistant teacher for the band, string, and choir programs, and a substitute as an ensemble director. 

Water of Life Christian School

Title: Music and Performing Arts Teacher

Dates Employed: July 2021 - December 2024

Leading a preschool through eighth-grade music program and teaching various classes, including
general music, two instrumental ensembles, a choir, a recorder program, and a drama class. Creates
original curriculum to follow California state standards for music, participates in ACSI festivals with
instrumental groups, and programs multiple concerts and productions throughout the school year.

Office of Student Success and University Writing Center

Title: Writing Coach

One of the founding members of the University Writing Center, I helped develop the necessary process and strategies to help students become more rhetorical writers who communicate clearly and persuasively. Responsibilities include reporting to the director, weekly staff meetings, contributing to social media/PR, creating resources, and coaching students. When I wasn't coaching, I would provide administrative and clerical support in the office.

Collinsworth School of Music

Title: Graduate Assistant 

Dates Employed: Aug 2020 – May 2021 

Graduate assistant for multiple departments, including music theory, ear training, and jazz. Responsibilities include organizing documents and offices, teaching classes, lesson planning, grading, private and group tutoring, and offering office hours for students. 

The Retreat Church of the Nazarene

Title: Interim Director of Worship

Dates Employed: May 2018 – Sep 2018 

Directing the music program for the Retreat Church of the Nazarene. Responsibilities include leading worship through song by singing and piano playing, overseeing the order of music and song selection, interacting with the congregation in a Christ-like manner, and setting up audio equipment. 

DB Music & Sound

Title: Administrative Assistant 

Dates Employed: April 2017 – Sept 2017 

A seasonal position as an administrative assistant at a high desert music store. Responsibilities include checking inventory, helping fix and prepare instruments (brass and winds), tuning stringed instruments within the store, greeting customers, play-testing wind instruments, and handling office and clerical responsibilities.
